Last night I asked for some advice on removing these horrid looking aftermarket door guards the previous owner had put on. Someone suggested applying some heat to them, I wasn't comfortable with that approach. I went with some hot soapy water and my two hands and an hour later......presto. They actually peeled off rather easily and only a few small sections of the adhesive remained on the door. They were on there when I bought the car in 2006. I was able to peel the rest off with my fingers. Gave it a quick buff and shine and thats it, I will tackle the other side tomorrow as I was sweating bullets in my garage and wanted to catch the Phils game.... Humidity is brutal tonight. So, something actually simple with this car for once..... Now it just needs an engine under the hood. Now you see me:
